Updated April 2025, effective for your first show of the 2025/26 Season
The cost of parking in the Theatre District Parking Structure is covered by La Jolla Playhouse as one of the benefits of your subscription. UC San Diego Parking and Commuter Services is excited to introduce a new system to activate your free parking when attending the shows in your subscription package.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Before arriving, make sure you have:
- Your license plate number
- The email associated with your La Jolla Playhouse subscription
- The parking info flyer mailed with your tickets OR remember the color of the QR code in that flyer
UPON ARRIVAL
When you arrive at the Theatre District Parking Structure, you may park in any available space except:
- Spaces marked reserved or loading zones
- Disabled spaces (unless authorized with a valid placard or plate)
- EV Charging Spaces (unless a charging session is initiated)
HOW TO ACTIVATE YOUR FREE SUBSCRIBER PARKING SESSION
- Scan the QR code OR find a matching color-coded QR code on the black A-frame signs in the parking structure
- Enter your license plate number, then click Next
- Enter your subscriber email address, then click Next
- Select your show date, then click Park

USEFUL TIPS
- For quick access to the elevator and stairs closest to the Playhouse, park in or near the SOUTH sections 1G, 2G, 3G and 4G.
- Look for signage on the pillars.
- Near these areas, enter the door labelled “UC San Diego Elevator Access.”
- Press 1 for ground level. Follow signs to the Playhouse, located across the street.
- Walking distance to the Playhouse is 0.1-0.2 miles on level ground, taking 1-2 minutes.
ACCESS GOLF CART SERVICE
Patrons with access needs can pre-request golf cart service from the drop-off location on Theatre District Drive to the theatre. Call (858) 550-1010 to request.

- Your license plate number
- The email associated with your La Jolla Playhouse subscription
- The color of your parking mailer
If you’re experiencing an immediate issue, please call (858) 534-8108 for expedited assistance.
PARKING TERMS
- The cost of parking is covered by La Jolla Playhouse and provided as a benefit for subscribers.
- The benefit includes free parking for one car per “household” per show for the shows within your subscription package only.
- Free parking cannot be provided for more cars or for events outside your subscription package.
- Keep this information with your tickets and remember to bring it with you to the theatre.
- UC San Diego operates campus parking lots. If you do not activate your parking session, you may get a citation.
- All parking inquiries go directly to UC San Diego Parking.
